Type a niche or keyword and pick a subscriber range. Nolyn searches YouTube for channels with that keyword and related phrasings, keeps the ones in your range, reads each channel's last 10 videos and returns one table sorted by median views, with views per 1,000 subscribers and the date of the latest upload, so you can see which channels are active and which only look big.

Example: home espresso channels with 10K–500K subscribers

How do you find YouTube channels in a niche?

Search YouTube channels for the niche and related phrasings, keep the ones in your subscriber range and compare the median views of their last 10 videos, not their subscriber counts. In Nolyn's October 19, 2026 run for “home espresso” (10K–500K subscribers), only 2 of 10 channels were independent creators who were active and on topic: Lance Hedrick (228.5K median views) and Brew Coffee Home (8.75K).

What you get

A channel list for your niche

Up to 10 channels found through YouTube search for your keyword and related phrasings, filtered to your subscriber range, each with a link.

Views, not just subscribers

The median views of each channel's last 10 videos and views per 1,000 subscribers, which separates channels whose audience still watches from channels that only have a big number.

Who is active and a fit

The latest upload date and what each channel covers, with a one-line note on which look best for a brand collaboration and why.

Example: home espresso channels with 10K–500K subscribers

A real run on October 19, 2026: Nolyn searched YouTube channels for “home espresso”, then “home barista”, “espresso machine” and “coffee gear”, kept 10 channels between 10K and 500K subscribers and read the last 10 videos of each, 100 videos in all.

Sorted by median views of each channel's last 10 videos (Prima: the last 10 with a view count). Views per 1,000 subscribers = median views ÷ subscribers × 1,000. Subscribers and views are YouTube's rounded figures; latest upload is YouTube's relative date on October 19, 2026.

Two independent creators are active and on topic

Lance Hedrick (456K subscribers) gets a median 228.5K views on his last 10 videos, 501 per 1,000 subscribers, and uploaded 2 days before the run. Brew Coffee Home (19.2K) gets 8.75K, 456 per 1,000, with budget machine and grinder reviews such as AMZCHEF, Gemilai and HiBREW, the most recent 10 days old.

Big subscriber counts can be dormant

Seven Miles Coffee Roasters (207K) and Kyle Rowsell (127K) still show high medians, 107K and 92.5K, but their latest uploads are 3 and 2 years old. A collaboration there would wait on a channel that has stopped posting.

Brand and retailer channels reach a fraction of their subscribers

Flair Espresso (150K subscribers) gets 37 views per 1,000 subscribers, Prima Coffee Equipment 38 and Clive Coffee 71, against 456–501 for the two active creators. Their videos are product tutorials and overviews, useful as competitor research rather than as partners.

Check what a channel actually posts

Jess - Gadgets, Gear, Coffee has 26.7K subscribers and an 11.35K median, but 9 of the channel’s last 10 videos are about bikes, travel and gadgets. A name match in search is not a topic match; the video list is.

Every figure on this page was recomputed from the YouTube search and channel-video responses saved from this run. The report's own table printed views per subscriber (0.50 for Lance Hedrick) where this page shows views per 1,000 subscribers (501). It also kept Jess - Gadgets, Gear, Coffee, although only 1 of its last 10 videos is about coffee. The searches also returned in-range channels the run did not analyze, such as Dylan’s Home Espresso Bar (28.3K), Espresso Doc. (15.5K) and TMB (10.1K).

Run it for your own product or account

How it works

  1. Search YouTube

Nolyn searches YouTube channels for your keyword and related phrasings and collects the channels behind the results.

  2. Filter by size and topic

It keeps the channels in your subscriber range that post about the topic.

  3. Read recent videos

For up to 10 channels it reads the last 10 videos and works out median views, views per 1,000 subscribers and the latest upload.

  4. Rank and recommend

One table sorted by median views, with a note on which channels look most active and best fit for a collaboration.

What it cannot do

Nolyn finds channels through YouTube's own channel search, so it sees what that search returns for your keywords, not every channel in a niche, and it analyzes up to 10 per run. Subscribers and views are YouTube's rounded public figures. It has no contact details, audience demographics, watch time or sponsorship rates. Check a channel's videos before you reach out.

Questions

How do I find YouTube channels in a niche?

Search YouTube for the niche, filter the results to channels and open each one to check its subscribers, how often it uploads and how many views its recent videos get. Nolyn does this for up to 10 channels in one run and puts the results in one table.

Can I search YouTube channels by subscriber count?

Yes. Pick a subscriber range on the form, from 1K–10K up to 1M+, or any size. Nolyn keeps only the channels in that range.

Why median views instead of subscribers?

Subscribers count everyone who ever subscribed; median views show how many people watch a typical new video. In the sample, Flair Espresso has 150K subscribers but a median of 5.5K views, while Brew Coffee Home has 19.2K subscribers and 8.75K.

What is a good views per 1,000 subscribers figure?

It depends on the niche, so compare channels within one run. In the home espresso sample, the two active independent creators got 456 and 501 views per 1,000 subscribers, while brand and retailer channels got 37 to 140.

Can I use it to find YouTubers for influencer marketing?

Yes. The table shows who is active, how many people watch their recent videos and what they cover, which is the first filter for a sponsorship. It does not include contact emails or rates.

Does it include Shorts?

The medians use each channel's recent long-form videos. For a channel's Shorts, use the YouTube Shorts analytics tool.

Is there a free YouTube channel finder?

You can start free: new accounts get 100 one-time credits, no card required. One analysis like this uses about 47 credits, so the free credits cover about 2 runs. Paid plans add monthly credits.

Do I need to sign up?

To run it, yes: sign in with Google. It is free and asks for no card. You can read the example and fill in the form before signing in.
