Instagram comment exporter

Instagram comment exporter: export and search the comments of a post or Reel

Price
Free plan: 100 credits, no card. One analysis uses about 15–46 credits.
What you get
Post figures (account, format, publish date, likes, total comments and, for Reels, plays); the most relevant and the newest top-level comments, about 15 of each, merged without duplicates, with likes, reply count and date; every comment that mentions your keyword or a close variant (or the questions people ask, if you leave the keyword empty); themes with counts and the most-liked example; an export table and a CSV block.
Coverage
Any public Instagram post, carousel or Reel, as a /p/ or /reel/ link or the post code. Instagram returns about 15 top-level comments per sort order, so a run covers roughly 15 to 30 comments, not every comment on a busy post. Replies are counted but not listed; private accounts and comments the owner has hidden are not available.
Time to report
Usually 2–4 minutes.
Account
Sign-in with Google required to run it. You can read the example and fill in the form without an account.

Paste an Instagram post or Reel link and, if you like, a keyword. Nolyn reads the post's figures and its top-level comments, sorted by most relevant and by newest, with likes, replies and dates, finds every comment that mentions your keyword, including plurals, misspellings and translations, groups the comments into themes and gives you the list as a table and a CSV block you can paste into a spreadsheet.

Example: Glossier's Toasty Nuts Balm Dotcom post, keyword “Sephora”

How do you export and search the comments of an Instagram post?

Read the post's comments with likes, replies and dates, search them for your keyword, then copy them as a table or CSV. In Nolyn's October 22, 2026 run on a Glossier lip balm launch, 15 of the 20 comments read were about the product name “Toasty Nuts”, and they held 95% of the comment likes.

What you get

The top comments with likes and dates

The most relevant and the newest top-level comments, each with its likes, number of replies and date, plus the post's likes, comments and plays.

Keyword matches

Every comment that mentions your keyword, a brand or a product, including plurals, misspellings and translations, most-liked first. Without a keyword you get the questions people ask.

Themes and a CSV you can keep

The comments grouped into themes with counts and the most-liked example, and the full list as a table and a CSV block to paste into Sheets or Excel.

Example: Glossier's Toasty Nuts Balm Dotcom post, keyword “Sephora”

A real run on October 22, 2026 for Glossier's carousel launching Toasty Nuts Balm Dotcom, published October 9, 2026: 19,138 likes and 312 comments. Nolyn read the most relevant and the newest comment lists, 15 comments each with 10 in both, so 20 unique top-level comments with 6,237 likes between them.

Keyword: Sephora0Only in Glossier's caption—

The 20 comments read, grouped by theme; each comment is in one theme. Likes as Instagram returned them on October 22, 2026.

Three in four comments are about the product name

15 of the 20 comments mention “toasty”, “nuts” or the name, and they hold 5,943 of the 6,237 comment likes (95%). The top comment, “Not the toasty nuts on my lips”, has 2,122 likes and 9 replies.

Some of the most-liked comments push back

4 comments say the name gets in the way, including the second and third most-liked: “the name could’ve been workshopped a bit” (1,270 likes) and a list of nicer nut names (1,219). One says: “ANY other name and I would have bought this.”

The one product concern is an allergy

“*cries in nut allergy*” has 67 likes and 6 replies, the most replies after the top comment. Two more comments suggest a collab with New York's Nuts 4 Nuts street carts.

“Sephora” matched no comment

Sephora appears only in Glossier's caption, which says to shop first on the Sephora app. None of the 20 comments asks where to buy, so the keyword search returned 0 matches.

Every figure was recomputed from the post and comment responses saved from this run; the name theme uses a fixed keyword rule (toast, nut or name) over the full texts. Instagram returned the same first comments for every further page the run asked for, so 20 is what one run reads on this post. Quotes are shortened and shown without usernames.

Run it for your own product or account

How it works

  1. Read the post

Account, format, publish date, likes, comment count and, for Reels, plays.

  2. Read the comments

The most relevant and the newest top-level comments, merged, each with likes, replies and date.

  3. Find the keyword

Every comment that mentions it, including plurals, misspellings and translations, most-liked first.

  4. Group and export

Themes with counts and examples, then the full list as a table and a CSV block.

Who uses an Instagram comment exporter

Brands and sellers

See how people react to a launch in its first days, and find every comment that names your product, a competitor or a retailer.

Social media managers

Pull a post's top comments into a spreadsheet with likes and dates for a report, instead of copying them one by one.

Creators

Collect the questions your followers ask under a post or Reel for the next video or a pinned reply.

What it cannot do

Instagram returns about 15 top-level comments per sort order, and in our tests further pages returned the same comments again, so one run reads the most relevant and the newest comments, roughly 15 to 30 per post, not every comment on a busy post. Replies are counted but not listed. Comments the owner has hidden or filtered, private accounts, Stories and Instagram Insights are not available. It reads one post per run.

Questions

How do I export comments from an Instagram post?

Instagram has no export button for comments. Paste the post or Reel link into the form above: Nolyn reads the most relevant and the newest comments with likes, replies and dates and ends the report with a table and a CSV block you can paste into Google Sheets or Excel.

Is there a free Instagram comment exporter?

Running it needs a free Nolyn account: sign in with Google and you get 100 free credits. The Glossier run on this page cost 46 credits, 18 of them on extra comment pages that Instagram did not return; the Portuguese sample cost 15. This page, the sample and the brief are free to read.

How many comments can it export?

About 15 most relevant plus 15 newest top-level comments, usually 15 to 30 unique ones: 20 of 312 on the Glossier post and 16 of 373 on an O Boticário Reel on October 22, 2026. That covers the comments most people see first, not every comment on a post with hundreds.

How do I search Instagram comments for a word?

The Instagram app has no search inside a post's comments. Enter the word, brand or product as the keyword and Nolyn lists every comment it read that mentions it, including plurals, misspellings and translations, most-liked first.

Can I export comments from a Reel?

Yes. Paste a /reel/ link or the Reel's code; the report also gives the Reel's plays. Carousels and single photos work the same way.

What can a brand do with a post's comments?

Find the reactions and objections a launch gets in its first days. In the sample, 15 of 20 comments were about the product name and 4 of them pushed back, including two of the three most-liked comments.

What is the difference from the Instagram profile analyzer?

The profile analyzer reads an account's recent posts and compares their engagement. The comment exporter is about what people write under one post: a keyword search, themes and the comments as a table and CSV.

Is there a free Instagram comment exporter?

You can start free: new accounts get 100 one-time credits, no card required. One analysis like this uses about 15–46 credits, so the free credits cover about 2–6 runs. Paid plans add monthly credits.

Do I need to sign up?

To run it, yes: sign in with Google. It is free and asks for no card. You can read the example and fill in the form before signing in.
