TikTok Shop tools compared

Kalodata vs FastMoss: pricing, data and which to choose

Kalodata and FastMoss are two of the best-known TikTok Shop analytics databases. Both track products, shops, creators, videos and livestreams over time, and both estimate sales from public data. The differences are in pricing transparency, history by plan, daily limits and the tools around the data.

Nolyn makes a different kind of TikTok Shop research tool, covered at the end. We have no affiliation with Kalodata or FastMoss.

Verdict

Choose FastMoss if
you want to see prices before signing up, need creator contact data in the same tool, or want developer access through MCP, CLI or API.
Choose Kalodata if
during its 7-day trial its data for your categories looks closer to what you see on TikTok Shop, and the price shown after sign-in fits your budget. Run the same products through both trials.
Choose neither if
you need only a few answers a month, or your questions also depend on Amazon reviews or Reddit. A per-question research tool is cheaper to start with.

Where they differ

Pricing transparency

FastMoss lists Basic at $49, Pro at $89 and Ultimate at $139 a month, with yearly plans and extra seats priced on the page. Kalodata's pricing page asks you to sign in first.

History

Kalodata's homepage states 1,000 days of historical data. FastMoss keeps 90 days on Basic, 180 on Pro and 1,200 on Ultimate, so the plan you pick decides how far back you can look.

Limits

FastMoss caps detail page views (150 or 500 a day) and category searches below Ultimate. Check the equivalent limits in Kalodata's plans during the trial.

Around the data

FastMoss adds a Chrome extension, creator contact information and MCP, CLI and API access. Kalodata lists video and ad, livestream, AI tools and API sections in its navigation.

Accuracy

Both estimate sales from public data. Kalodata's FAQ says transaction amounts and ad spend may differ from real figures. Neither should be used where exact numbers matter, such as commission settlement.

What about EchoTik?

EchoTik is the budget option: a free plan, then $13.9, $29 or $57 a month ($9.9 to $29.1 billed yearly). The trade-off is history: Basic shows the last 30 days and Pro the last 90.

How to test both in one afternoon

  1. Pick three products you know well on TikTok Shop, including one that sells slowly.
  2. Start both free trials and look up the same products, shops and creators.
  3. Compare each tool's sales figures with the sold counts and reviews on the live listings.
  4. Check how many lookups a day your plan would allow, and how far back the history goes.
  5. Keep the tool whose numbers and limits match the decisions you make every week.

Where Nolyn fits

Nolyn is not a database. You ask a question, such as which handheld milk frothers to shortlist for TikTok Shop US, and it queries live listings, TikTok videos, Amazon reviews or Reddit, then writes a report that keeps each number's source and collection time. It has no leaderboards, stored history or GMV estimates, so it does not replace Kalodata or FastMoss for tracking trends over months.

How we compared

We read each official homepage and pricing page without signing in. We did not test data accuracy ourselves. Data counts are the vendors' own claims and are not directly comparable, because each counts records differently.

Questions

Is FastMoss better than Kalodata?

Neither is better for everyone. FastMoss is easier to evaluate on price and offers creator contacts and developer access. Kalodata may suit you better if its trial data matches your categories more closely. Test both on the same products.

How much is FastMoss a month?

On the date above, FastMoss listed Basic at $49, Pro at $89 and Ultimate at $139 a month, with lower yearly prices and a promotional first month.

Which markets do they cover?
