Jungle Scout vs Helium 10

Jungle Scout vs Helium 10: which Amazon seller tool fits you in 2026

· Nolyn research team

Both tools are built for Amazon sellers deciding what to sell and how to rank it, and on paper they overlap almost completely: a product database, a Chrome extension with sales estimates, keyword research, a listing builder, review requests and ad tools. The differences are in price, in which plan unlocks what, and in how far each goes beyond Amazon research. We read both official pricing pages on October 23, 2026. We did not have paid accounts on either, so feature descriptions are based on public information from the vendors, not on our own tests. Nolyn, our product, is a different kind of tool and appears at the end as a third option, with its limits.

Is Jungle Scout or Helium 10 better?

On 2026-10-23 Jungle Scout was the cheaper way in: Starter costs $49 a month, or $29 a month billed yearly, and includes product research, sales estimates and keyword research with monthly limits. Helium 10 starts at $99 a month billed yearly ($129 monthly) for Platinum, but has a limited free plan and covers more of running a store: Walmart and TikTok Shop, profit reporting and, on Diamond, PPC automation. Pick Jungle Scout to research products on a budget; pick Helium 10 if you already sell and want keywords, listings, ads and operations in one place.

Jungle Scout and Helium 10 side by side

Jungle Scout

Best for: new and small sellers researching products on a budgetPrice: Starter $49/mo or $29/mo billed yearly; Growth Accelerator $79 or $49; Brand Owner + CI $149 or $129 (checked 2026-10-23)

Jungle Scout sells its seller tools as Catalyst, in three plans, and a separate enterprise product, Cobalt, for companies above $1M in revenue with prices on request. Starter already includes the core research loop: the Product Database and Opportunity Finder (100 searches a month each), a Product Tracker for 50 products, 500 sales estimates a month, Keyword Scout (50 searches a month) and the Chrome and Firefox extension. Growth Accelerator removes most research limits and adds what an active seller needs: Listing Builder, Review Automation, the Supplier Database, sponsored keyword data, advertising analytics and sales analytics. Brand Owner + CI adds Competitive Intelligence, 2,000 tracked products and 5,000 sales estimates a month. There is no free plan or trial; standard plans have a 7-day money-back guarantee. Full support covers eight Amazon marketplaces (US, Canada, Mexico, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain), with partial support for nine more, including Japan and Brazil. Jungle Scout's home page says its data is 20% more accurate than its closest competitor; we could not verify that.

Pros

  • Lowest entry price of the two: $29 a month billed yearly
  • Sales estimates and keyword research already on Starter
  • Supplier Database included from Growth Accelerator
  • 7-day money-back guarantee

Cons

  • No free plan or free trial
  • Starter has no listing builder, review automation or ad data
  • Amazon only; some features limited to the US
  • The page lists 3 seats on Brand Owner but its FAQ says 10

Helium 10

Best for: established sellers who want keywords, listings, ads and operations in one suitePrice: Platinum $129/mo or $99/mo billed yearly; Diamond $359 or $279; Enterprise from $1,499/mo billed yearly (USD, checked 2026-10-23)

Helium 10 names its tools individually: Black Box for product research, the Xray Chrome extension for product data while you browse Amazon or Walmart, Cerebro for reverse-ASIN keyword research, Magnet for keyword ideas, plus a keyword tracker, Listing Builder, Listing Analyzer and Profits. The pricing page groups them into Platinum (for sellers up to $100K a year), Diamond (up to $10M) and Enterprise. Platinum includes product and keyword research, AI-enhanced listing building, Listing Review Insights, keyword sales (monthly sales attributed to each keyword), limited profit reporting and 20 tracked ASINs. Diamond adds the Helium AI agent, Helium 10 Ads for PPC automation with a 2% fee on managed spend, profit and loss reporting, inventory management and 1,000 tracked ASINs. Helium 10 also covers Walmart and TikTok Shop, which Jungle Scout's seller plans do not. There is a free account with limited access, but the pricing page mentions no trial or money-back guarantee. Two inconsistencies: Helium 10's home page FAQ still quotes $39 to $279 a month billed yearly, older than the pricing page, and it claims 38.2% of its sales estimates are exactly right, which we could not verify.

Pros

  • A limited free plan to look around
  • Broadest suite: research, listings, PPC, profits, inventory
  • Covers Walmart and TikTok Shop as well as Amazon
  • Keyword sales and reverse-ASIN research are core features

Cons

  • Entry price is over three times Jungle Scout's: $99 vs $29 a month billed yearly
  • PPC automation only on Diamond, $279 a month or more
  • No trial or money-back guarantee stated on the pricing page
  • Older prices still shown in the home page FAQ

Pricing: what you pay for the same job

If you only need to find and validate products, Jungle Scout Starter at $348 a year is the cheapest real option: it has the product database, sales estimates and keyword research, with monthly caps. Helium 10's cheapest paid plan, Platinum, is $1,188 a year billed yearly ($99 × 12), and $1,548 a year if paid monthly.

For an active seller who wants listings, review requests and ad data, the comparison is Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator ($588 a year) against Helium 10 Platinum ($1,188), or Diamond ($3,348) if you want Helium 10 to run your PPC. Jungle Scout saves up to 40% on yearly billing and Helium 10 up to 20%.

Helium 10's free account lets you try the interface before paying; Jungle Scout instead refunds within 7 days. Neither offers a free trial of a paid plan on its pricing page.

Data: sales estimates and keywords

Both tools estimate monthly unit sales and revenue for Amazon products and attach search volume to keywords. Amazon does not publish either number, so these are modelled estimates. Each vendor's home page says its estimates are more accurate than the competition's; neither claim can be checked from outside, and estimates differ between the two tools for the same product. Treat them as a range, and compare them with what Amazon itself shows: Best Sellers Rank and the "bought in past month" label on search results and product pages.

The plan limits matter more than the brand for most sellers: Jungle Scout Starter allows 500 sales estimates and 50 keyword searches a month, and Helium 10's pricing table shows a 100-searches-a-month limit on competitor keyword discovery on its entry tier.

A third option: an AI analyst instead of a database

Nolyn is not a replacement for either tool's keyword or sales-estimate data: it has no keyword search volume and no unit or revenue estimates. What it does is read live Amazon pages for you and answer a research question with the evidence: the best sellers for a search, each competitor's price, rating, ratings count, Best Sellers Rank, Amazon's "bought in past month" label and what reviews complain about.

Example from a real run on 2026-10-17: "water flosser" on amazon.com sorted by best sellers returned 909 results. The top five ranged from $19.99 to $99.99; the volume leader, the COSLUS C20 at $35.98, showed 60K+ bought in the past month, and 1,659 of its 2,228 durability mentions in Amazon's review summary were negative. That kind of answer is useful for competitor analysis and product validation before you commit to a monthly subscription. We did not run the same task in Jungle Scout or Helium 10, so we do not compare outputs here.

Pricing is by credits: a competitor analysis takes about 35 to 60 credits, new accounts get 100 free credits, and the Plus plan is $19 a month for 1,500 credits.

Questions

Is Jungle Scout cheaper than Helium 10?

Yes, at the entry level. On 2026-10-23 Jungle Scout Starter cost $49 a month or $29 a month billed yearly, and Helium 10 Platinum cost $129 a month or $99 a month billed yearly. At the top, Jungle Scout Brand Owner + CI is $149 a month and Helium 10 Diamond is $359.

Does Jungle Scout or Helium 10 have a free plan?

Helium 10 has a free account with limited access, mentioned on its pricing and home pages. Jungle Scout has no free plan or free trial, but standard Catalyst plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee (checked 2026-10-23).

Which is more accurate, Jungle Scout or Helium 10?

Both claim to be. Jungle Scout's home page says it is 20% more accurate than its closest competitor, and Helium 10's says 38.2% of its product sales estimates are exactly right. Neither claim is independently verified, and both are estimates because Amazon does not publish sales or search volume.

Which is better for PPC?

Helium 10, if you want automation: Helium 10 Ads is included on Diamond ($279 a month billed yearly or $359 monthly) with a 2% fee on managed ad spend. Jungle Scout's Growth Accelerator and Brand Owner plans include advertising analytics and negative keyword harvesting.

Can I use both?

You can, but most sellers do not need to: the two overlap on product research, sales estimates, keyword research, listings and review requests. If you pay for one, check its plan limits first, since those decide more than the brand.

Does Nolyn have keyword search volume or sales estimates?

No. Nolyn reads live Amazon best sellers, product pages and review summaries and uses only what Amazon shows, such as Best Sellers Rank and the "bought in past month" label. If you need search volume or unit estimates, use Jungle Scout or Helium 10.
