Rhythm and reach

How often the account posts, median views, and how far the best videos sit above the typical one.

What the winners have in common

The five best and five weakest recent videos with their topics, and the themes or formats that repeat among the best, plus three takeaways for a brand or seller.

Example: @owala

The five most-viewed and the five least-viewed of the 30 videos. Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views. Views as TikTok displays them at collection time; none of the 30 videos was pinned.

One licensed drop carried the period

The Pokémon teaser (September 12) and launch (September 16) drew 762,200 views, 33.9% of all views across the 30 videos, and the two highest engagement rates: 10.83% and 11.86%. The launch was shared 22,100 times; the median video was shared about 97 times.

Reveals beat everyday posts

Four of the five most-viewed videos announce or reveal a product: the two Pokémon videos, the fall lineup (303,300 views) and the Fright and Delight Halloween bottle (142,000 views, 8.46%). The fifth is a College Tour clip (111,000).

The weakest posts give viewers little to act on

The five least-viewed videos (9,015 to 14,200 views) are outfit and meme captions, a College Tour recap and a “coming soon” teaser. Their engagement rates are 1.74–3.35%, and they were shared 1 to 27 times.

Between launches, reach is a few percent of followers

The median video reached 33,500 views, about 4% of 830.7K followers, and the median like count is 0.13% of followers. The account's reach depends on launch moments; a seller studying it should plan content around real news rather than posting volume.

Every figure was recomputed from the saved TikTok responses of the run (profile plus two pages of the account's videos). The account is a brand account that sells on TikTok Shop; we show public numbers only and no personal accounts.

How it works

  1. Read the profile

Followers, total likes, video count, bio and whether the account sells on TikTok Shop.

  2. Read the recent videos

Up to 30 of the latest videos with publish date, views, likes, comments, shares and saves.

  3. Calculate

Posting rhythm, median views and engagement rate per video and by followers, with the number of videos behind each figure.

  4. Explain what works

Best and weakest videos, repeating themes and formats, and three takeaways you can use.

Limits

Only public accounts and public video metrics. Nolyn cannot see TikTok Studio analytics such as watch time, traffic sources, follower demographics or sales from TikTok Shop. Figures describe the most recent videos at the time of the run; pinned or older viral videos can change the picture. Engagement benchmarks differ by niche and account size, so compare accounts with the same formula and a similar audience.

Questions

How do you calculate TikTok engagement rate?

Per video: (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views, then the median across recent videos, which is less distorted by one viral post than an average. By followers: median likes per video ÷ followers. Tools differ in which interactions and denominator they use, so compare accounts with the same formula.

What is a good engagement rate on TikTok?

It depends on the niche, the account size and the formula. Larger accounts usually have lower rates. Compare an account with similar accounts measured the same way rather than with a single universal benchmark.

Can I analyze any TikTok account?

Any public account. Private accounts and the creator's own TikTok Studio data are not available.

Is this TikTok profile analyzer free?

You can read the example and prepare the request without an account. Running it requires sign-in; new accounts get 100 free credits, and each run uses credits for the AI and the TikTok lookups.

Can I use it to check influencers before working with them?

Yes. The per-video engagement, the spread between best and weakest videos and the content themes help you see whether an account's reach is steady. For finding new creators, use the influencer search tool.
