· Nolyn research team

Enter your item price, the shipping the buyer pays and your costs to see what Depop deducts from a US sale: the payment processing fee and, if the item was boosted, the boosting fee. You get the payout, your profit and the lowest price for the margin you want. Fees come from Depop's own Help Centre, read on October 26, 2026, and everything runs in your browser.

How much are Depop fees in the US in 2026?

US sellers pay no Depop selling fee, only payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 on the item, shipping and tax. A $25 item with $5 shipping pays $1.44 and $28.56 reaches you before the label. Depop fees for US sellers the calculator uses

Depop's Seller fees and charges page lists these fees for sellers based in the United States who sell in USD. Depop removed its 10% selling fee for US sellers; it still applies to sellers outside the UK, US and Australia.

Depop fees at common price points

Every example has $5 of buyer-paid shipping, no sales tax and a Depop Shipping label, before the label and your sourcing cost. Without boosting Depop takes between 3.7% and 6.3% of what the buyer pays; the fixed $0.45 is why cheap items pay a bigger share.

Three things that change your Depop payout

Boosting costs more than processing. On a $25 item the 12% boosting fee is $3.00, more than twice the $1.44 processing fee, so boost items whose margin can carry it.

Your own label widens the boosting base. Without a Depop Shipping label, the 12% also applies to shipping: the $25 + $5 sale pays $3.60 instead of $3.00.

The buyer's Marketplace fee is not yours to pay, but buyers see it. US buyers pay up to 5% of the item price plus up to $1 at checkout, so a $25 item can cost them up to $27.25 before shipping and tax.

How to calculate Depop fees

  1. Add up what the buyer pays

Item price plus shipping plus any sales tax: that is the base of the processing fee.

  2. Take 3.3% and add $0.45

That is Depop Payments' processing fee for US sellers, charged once per transaction.

  3. Add 12% if the sale came from a boost

On the item price, plus shipping when you did not use a Depop Shipping label.

  4. Subtract the label and your sourcing cost

What is left is your profit per sale. The buyer's Marketplace fee does not come out of it.

Questions

Does Depop still charge a 10% fee in the US?

No. Depop's fee page says no selling fees are charged to sellers based in the UK, US or Australia. The 10% selling fee applies only to sellers outside those countries who sell in another currency.

What is Depop's payment processing fee?

3.3% + $0.45 for US sellers using Depop Payments, charged on the item price plus shipping plus any tax. On a $25 item with $5 shipping that is $1.44.

How much does boosting cost on Depop?

12% of the item price for UK and US listings created from March 23, 2026, plus the shipping cost if you did not use a Depop Shipping label. You pay it only when a sale comes from the boost.

Who pays the Depop Marketplace fee?

The buyer. Since July 18, 2024, US buyers pay up to 5% of the item price plus a fixed amount of up to $1 at checkout. It is not deducted from your payout and is refunded if the item is refunded.

Are Depop fees refunded if I refund the buyer?

Yes. Depop reverses the selling, processing and boosting fees on a refunded sale, automatically for Depop Payments transactions.
