UGC platforms

Best UGC platforms for brands in 2026: prices, usage rights and what you get

· Nolyn research team

UGC (user-generated content) platforms connect brands with creators who make product videos and photos for the brand to use in its own ads, product pages and social accounts. They differ in what you get (content only, or content plus a post on the creator's account), how you pay (subscription, credit packs, per project or per creator) and the usage rights. We checked each platform's own website on October 24, 2026 and list the published prices, with the billing period, and where a price is not published we say so. Prices are as each site shows them in dollars. We also show the free route many e-commerce sellers miss: TikTok Shop affiliates, who make product videos for a free sample and a commission.

What is the best UGC platform for brands?

For a small budget, JoinBrands (videos from $25, free pay-as-you-go plan with a 15% fee) or Collabstr (free plan, 10% fee); for ads at scale with clear usage rights, Insense ($400–500 a month, UGC from $100 per video) or Trend (credit packs from $550); for a fully managed campaign, Minisocial (from $3,000 for 10 creators). If you sell on TikTok Shop, affiliate samples are a free alternative: in our data one cheese grater was posted about by 9 different creators, with 62.4 million combined views (prices checked 2026-10-24).

How we checked

  • Prices, fees, per-video costs, usage rights, creator numbers and trials come from each platform's own website on 2026-10-24. We did not sign up for paid plans or book demos.
  • Creator counts are the platforms' own claims. "Usage rights" is quoted as each platform states it; read the contract before you run content as paid ads.
  • We left out Upwork, whose UGC page we could not load. Billo's pricing is behind a sign-in, so we list it without a price.
  • Nolyn is included for one job: finding creators who already make content in your category. It is not a UGC marketplace and does not hire, brief or pay creators.

The platforms

1. JoinBrands

Best for: small brands that want cheap UGC with no subscriptionPrice: Free pay-as-you-go plan (15% fee); paid plans $99, $299 and $499/mo (10% off yearly). Videos from $25, images from $10, AI videos from $5

JoinBrands has the lowest published per-asset prices in this list and a free plan that charges a 15% fee instead of a subscription. Brands can order content only, or content plus a post on the creator's account, and Spark Ads and Partnership Ads codes are included. It claims more than 4 million creators and states "unlimited usage rights". Its pricing page is not consistent about whether the free plan includes creator posts, so confirm before ordering.

Pros

  • Free plan and the lowest per-video prices
  • Ad codes included
  • Content only or content plus post

Cons

  • 15% fee on the free plan
  • Creator countries not published
  • Plan details inconsistent on the pricing page

2. Collabstr

Best for: hiring individual creators at their listed pricesPrice: Free ($0, 10% fee); Pro $299/mo or $249/mo billed annually; Premium $399/mo or $333/mo billed annually (5% fee); Enterprise from $1,000/mo billed annually

Collabstr is a marketplace where creators list their own packages and prices and brands can hire them directly or post a campaign. It claims more than 1.3 million creators and payments in 150 countries. Because each creator sets the price and the terms, usage rights are agreed per deal; ask for them in writing if you plan to run the videos as ads.

Pros

  • Free plan
  • Prices visible per creator
  • Large international pool

Cons

  • Usage rights negotiated per creator
  • Quality varies by creator
  • Paid plans needed to lower fees

3. Insense

Best for: brands running TikTok and Meta ads that need a steady flow of creator videosPrice: Brand plan $500/mo billed quarterly or $400/mo billed annually, plus a 10–20% marketplace fee; a one-month Trial plan at $650 that renews into Brand; UGC from $100 per video

Insense covers UGC, posts on creators' accounts, TikTok Spark Ads and Meta Partnership Ads, with more than 115,000 creators in 57+ countries by its own count. Its pricing states full digital rights in perpetuity once content is approved and paid, while the creator keeps copyright. Note that its "trial" is a paid month at $650 that rolls into the Brand plan, although the home page also shows "try it for free" buttons.

Pros

  • Clear perpetual usage rights
  • Spark Ads and Partnership Ads built in
  • Large creator pool

Cons

  • Subscription plus marketplace fee
  • Paid trial that auto-renews
  • More than a small brand needs for a few videos

4. Trend

Best for: buying content in batches without a subscriptionPrice: Credit packs, no subscription: Starter $550 for 60 credits; per video up to about $92 on Starter, about $69 on the largest pack; credits expire after 12 months

Trend sells photos and videos only (no posts on creators' accounts) through prepaid credit packs. It states "100% licensing & distribution rights" for the content. It suits brands that want a predictable cost per asset and do not need creators to post. Creator countries are not published.

Pros

  • No subscription
  • Full licensing stated
  • Predictable cost per asset

Cons

  • Content only, no creator posts
  • Credits expire after 12 months
  • $550 minimum

5. Minisocial

Best for: a fully managed campaign with posts and licensed filesPrice: Per project: campaigns start at $3,000 for 10 creators, creator fees included

Minisocial runs the campaign for you: it recruits creators, who post on their own accounts, and delivers the licensed files and Meta and TikTok ad codes. It says brands can use the content anywhere and for as long as they want. It is the most expensive entry point here but the least work.

Pros

  • Fully managed
  • Posts plus licensed files
  • All-in price including creator fees

Cons

  • From $3,000 per campaign
  • Less control over creator choice
  • Per-video price not published

6. Billo

Best for: US, Canadian and UK brands buying video ads from vetted creatorsPrice: Not published publicly (pricing behind sign-up or demo)

Billo offers creator video ads, posts on creator profiles, partnership ads and a managed service, with more than 5,000 creators in the US, Canada and the UK by its own count. Its pricing page redirected to a login page on October 24, 2026, so we cannot quote a price.

Pros

  • Focused on video ads
  • US, Canada and UK creators
  • Managed option

Cons

  • No public pricing
  • Smaller creator pool
  • Usage terms not published

7. Cohley

Best for: larger brands that want UGC, reviews and seeding under one contractPrice: Custom pricing on a demo; optional paid 3-month pilot

Cohley covers UGC videos and photos, influencer posts, reviews and product seeding, and states usage rights in perpetuity across all channels. It sells through demos, with a paid three-month pilot as the entry option.

Pros

  • Perpetual usage rights
  • UGC, reviews and seeding together
  • Pilot option

Cons

  • No published price
  • No free trial
  • Built for larger programs

8. #paid

Best for: brands that want a managed creator program with licensing handledPrice: Not published (demo only)

#paid runs managed creator campaigns and content production and says it handles licensing, but publishes no prices or licensing terms. Consider it when you want an agency-style partner rather than a self-serve marketplace.

Pros

  • Managed campaigns
  • Licensing handled
  • Production support

Cons

  • No published price
  • Licensing terms not published
  • Demo-led

9. Fiverr (UGC Videos category)

Best for: one-off videos at the lowest price, if you can vet freelancers yourselfPrice: Set per gig; the first results page showed gigs from $15 to from $250

Fiverr has an official UGC Videos category with more than 24,000 results, including AI-generated UGC. Each freelancer sets prices, revisions and rights, so read the gig terms on usage before you buy, and check that the creator is a real person if that matters for your ads.

Pros

  • Lowest entry prices
  • Huge choice
  • No subscription

Cons

  • Usage rights per gig
  • Quality varies widely
  • Mixes human and AI UGC

10. TikTok Shop affiliates

Best for: TikTok Shop sellers who want many creator videos for the cost of samples and commissionPrice: Free samples (you pay the product and shipping) or refundable samples, plus the affiliate commission you set

If you sell on TikTok Shop, affiliate creators make product videos for a free or refundable sample and a commission on sales. TikTok's US guide says free-sample creators are expected to post within 14 days. These are posts on the creators' own accounts, not licensed files; to run them as ads you use Spark Ads with the creator's authorisation. In US product searches stored by our research runs (October 15–22, 2026), one rotary cheese grater was linked in videos by 9 different creators with 62.4 million combined views, and 8 of those videos carried TikTok's "Creator earns commission" label.

Pros

  • Cost is product, shipping and commission
  • Many creators per product
  • Sales tracked through TikTok Shop

Cons

  • TikTok Shop sellers only
  • Posts, not licensed files
  • Creators choose what to post

11. Nolyn

Best for: finding creators who already make content in your category before you hire or seedPrice: Credits per task: an influencer search used about 40 credits in our Oct 21, 2026 runs; 100 free credits at sign-up; Plus $19/mo for 1,500 credits

Nolyn is not a UGC platform: it does not brief, hire, license or pay creators. It does the research before you choose one. Its influencer search finds TikTok, Instagram and YouTube creators who post about your product's category and checks their recent videos, and it can show which videos already carry TikTok's commission or paid-partnership labels, so you can see who makes product content and how it performs. Use it to build a shortlist, then hire through a platform above or seed directly.

Pros

  • Pay per search, no subscription
  • Shows each creator's recent posts and labels
  • Covers TikTok, Instagram and YouTube

Cons

  • No hiring, briefs, licensing or payments
  • Public data only
  • Short lists, not a creator database

A real sample: how many creators make videos for one product

UGC is not only something you buy. On TikTok Shop, affiliate creators make it for free samples and commission. To see how much, we grouped the 263 US-registered product videos that TikTok searches returned in our research runs (October 15–22, 2026) by the TikTok Shop product linked in each video: 7 products were linked by 3 or more different creators.

US TikTok product videos from Nolyn research runs, 2026-10-15 to 10-22, grouped by linked TikTok Shop product. Brands omitted. Views as TikTok returned them when fetched.

What the sample says about UGC

The creators behind these products were small: the median creator per product had 5,344 to 36,204 followers. Results were very uneven: two listings of the same kind of product, a heated ice cream scoop, got 2,965 and 11,360,535 combined views from 5 creators each. One vacuum sealer brand had 7 creators and 13 videos on its main listing and 4 creators on a second listing (some of them the same people), which is what a steady affiliate program looks like.

For a UGC buyer, that suggests two things. Volume matters more than any single creator, because a few videos carry most of the views; and the best-performing creator videos are worth licensing as ads, which is where paid UGC platforms and Spark Ads come in. Search results favour videos that already performed, so treat the view counts as the upside.

UGC platforms vs influencer platforms

UGC platforms sell content: videos and photos you own or license for ads, product pages and your own social accounts, priced per asset. Influencer platforms sell reach: posts on creators' accounts, priced by audience. Several platforms above (JoinBrands, Insense, Minisocial) do both. Decide which you need before you compare prices: a $25 video you can run as an ad and a $500 post to 50,000 followers are different products.

Questions

How much does UGC cost?

On the platforms we checked on 2026-10-24: from $25 per video on JoinBrands, from $100 per video on Insense, up to about $92 per video on Trend's starter pack, and from $3,000 for a 10-creator managed campaign on Minisocial. Fiverr gigs started at $15.

Which UGC platforms have a free plan?

JoinBrands (pay-as-you-go with a 15% fee) and Collabstr (10% fee). Insense's trial is a paid month at $650 that renews into its Brand plan.

Do I own UGC I pay for?

It depends on the platform. Insense states full digital rights in perpetuity once content is approved and paid, with the creator keeping copyright; Trend states 100% licensing and distribution rights; JoinBrands states unlimited usage rights; on Collabstr and Fiverr rights are agreed per creator or gig. Get the terms in writing before running content as ads.

What is the difference between UGC creators and influencers?

UGC creators make content for your channels and ads and are paid per asset; influencers post to their own audience and are paid for reach. Many creators do both.

Can I get UGC for free?

On TikTok Shop, affiliate creators make videos for a free or refundable sample and a commission. In our data, one rotary cheese grater was posted about by 9 creators with 62.4 million combined views. Outside TikTok Shop, product seeding can produce UGC, but there is no guarantee anyone posts.

Is Nolyn a UGC platform?

No. Nolyn finds and vets creators from public data and shows their recent posts; it does not hire, brief, license or pay them. Use it to build a shortlist before using a UGC platform or seeding.
