Type a product idea and pick an Amazon marketplace. Nolyn searches Amazon, takes the top 10 listings and reads their price, rating, ratings count and Amazon's “bought in past month” label, groups what reviewers of the best sellers complain about, counts recent TikTok videos on the topic and ends with a verdict and the three figures behind it.
Example: is a dog paw cleaner worth launching on Amazon US?How do you validate a product idea?
Check that the top listings for the idea sell (Amazon's “bought in past month” label), that a new listing could catch up on reviews, and that buyers repeat a complaint you can fix. In Nolyn's October 19, 2026 run for “dog paw cleaner” on amazon.com, the top 10 had a median of 2,193 ratings, the best label was 3K+ a month and 5 of 24 top reviews mentioned needing a towel to dry the paws: verdict CAUTION.

Example: is a dog paw cleaner worth launching on Amazon US?
A real run on October 19, 2026: “dog paw cleaner” on amazon.com returned 2,789 results. Nolyn kept the top 10 paw cleaners (leaving out duplicate color variants, wipes, sprays, paw soaks and a medicated mousse), read 8 top reviews for each of the three with the highest “bought in past month” label and checked 20 TikTok search results. The verdict was CAUTION.

Competition: the head is held by one brand
Demand is real but modest, and it sits next door
The repeated complaint is the wet paw afterwards
TikTok: proven pull, little organic activity now
Every figure on this page was recomputed from the Amazon search, review and TikTok search responses saved from this run. Sales are only the labels Amazon shows; Nolyn does not estimate units or revenue. The 24 reviews are the top reviews Amazon shows first, not all reviews. For TikTok, 11 of the 20 returned videos fall in the last 90 days; Nolyn's own report left out one off-topic clip and gave 10 with a median of 362 views.
Run it for your own product or accountHow it works
Search the marketplace
Nolyn searches your Amazon marketplace for the idea, notes the total results and keeps the top 10 organic listings of the same product type.
Measure competition and demand
Price band, ratings counts and Amazon's “bought in past month” labels show how crowded the search is and how much the leaders sell, without estimates.
Read the leaders' reviews
The top reviews of the three best sellers, grouped into the complaints that repeat: the gap a new product would have to close.
Check TikTok and decide
Recent TikTok videos and their views show whether the topic has social momentum; the run ends with GO, CAUTION or NO-GO and the figures behind it.

What it cannot do
Demand is only what the platforms show: Amazon's “bought in past month” label and TikTok views. Nolyn does not estimate units, revenue, margins or search volume, and it does not check suppliers, patents or category restrictions. Review data is the top reviews Amazon shows for three products, not every review. Search results depend on the moment and may be personalized, so a verdict is a starting point to check, not a guarantee.
Questions
What is product validation?
Product validation is checking, before you buy inventory, that people already buy something like your product, that the competition is beatable and that buyers have a complaint you can fix. Nolyn does it from live Amazon listings, their reviews and TikTok videos for one idea at a time.
How do I validate a product idea?
Search the idea on the marketplace you want to sell on and look at the top 10 listings: their price band, how many ratings they have and Amazon's “bought in past month” labels. Then read the top reviews of the best sellers for repeated complaints and check whether recent social videos on the topic get views. Nolyn runs these steps in one or two minutes and ends with a verdict.
How does it find high demand, low competition products?
It does not search a database for them. It tests one idea you give it: demand is the “bought in past month” labels of the top listings and competition is how many of them have fewer than 1,000 ratings. Run several ideas and compare the verdicts.
Does it estimate sales or search volume?
No. It reports Amazon's own “bought in past month” labels and TikTok view counts exactly as shown. Tools that print monthly units or revenue model them from rank; Nolyn leaves that out rather than guess.
What do GO, CAUTION and NO-GO mean?
GO: there are clear demand labels, the leaders can be beaten on reviews or price, and buyers repeat a complaint you could fix. CAUTION: demand exists but the head is held by established listings or the gap is narrow, so you need a clear difference. NO-GO: little demand or a crowded search with no visible gap. The report shows the three figures behind the call.
Can I use it for product concept validation before I have a product?
Yes. Describe the concept as a shopper would search for it, for example “dog paw cleaner with drying towel”. The run shows what already sells under that search and what buyers miss, which is the evidence a concept has to answer.
Which marketplaces are supported?
amazon.com, .co.uk, .ca, .de, .fr, .es, .it, .co.jp, .com.mx and .com.br, plus TikTok search. Reports are written in English; type the idea in the marketplace's language.
Is there a free product validation tool?
You can start free: new accounts get 100 one-time credits, no card required. One analysis like this uses about 27 credits, so the free credits cover about 3 runs. Paid plans add monthly credits.
Do I need to sign up?
To run it, yes: sign in with Google. It is free and asks for no card. You can read the example and fill in the form before signing in.
